Privacy is important to us. We recognise the need to feel safe online and be assured your information is not shared or used inappropriately.
Personal information is only collected for the purposes of completing an order and is retained for up to three years for our own records only. We do not share information with any third party business or individual other than what is required to deliver your order. Any marketing emails are opt-out and removal from marketing notifications can simply be done by requesting removal by replying to the email or contacting us with the request.
Who we are?
Red Coco is a sole trader business based at 27 High St, Ipswich IP1 3QH as an independent extension of our beauty clinic.
What information do we collect? How do we use personal information? How do we secure personal data?
Upon placing an order we keep:
- your name,
- your address,
- your contact details.
These are used for the primary purpose of completing your order, however occasional marketing emails may be sent to promote new products. Should you wish to not receive these emails then you can opt out at any time by contacting us through email, Facebook, telephone or in writing. We will remove you within 48 hours from any marketing communications.
Other than content on social media, which is subject to the privacy rules of the hosting social media site, or any partner merchant site, which similarly has this own privacy rules, we do not retain customer details online.
Quantified anonymised customer data may be analysed to better understand our customers and design more optimised products.
Personal data is not kept online:
- to protect data against accidental loss ;
- to prevent unauthorised access, use, destruction or disclosure;
- to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery;
- to restrict access to personal information;
- to conduct privacy impact assessments in accordance with the law and your business policies;
- to manage third party risks, through use of contracts and security reviews.
Some access to personal data may be used to train staff and contractors on data security.
What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data? When do we share personal data?
Consent to use your personal data for the sake of the processing and delivering your order is implied upon completing your first purchase. A contract then exists for us to complete your order, as such limited personal information will be passed on to our courier partners for the sake of their delivery contract. Limited personal information will be retained for marketing purposes. At any point you can request in writing to access a copy of your personal information.
How long do we keep your personal data for?
Personal information is only retained as detailed above for a period not exceeding three years (1096 days) from the last contact with the customer or until the customer requests deletion of personal data under GDPR rules.
Your rights in relation to personal data
Under GDPR, you retain the right to access and control your personal data. In respect of:
- access to personal information
- correction and deletion
- withdrawal of consent (if processing data on condition of consent)
- data portability
- restriction of processing and objection
- lodging a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office
In most cases this can be exercised by a written request that can be submitted in writing or through email.
This is limited to information retained directly by Red Coco and does not extend to any partner sites.
Information may be excluded or partially redacted should it include information about any other person that would expose their personal details.
